Cancer Detection Camp held for women
Cancer Detection Camp was held on March.31at Saligramam.
Specialist doctors from Adyar cancer institute were consulted by participants.
The organizers told this reporter that 51 women attended the camp but want of time only 40 women were diagnosed and other participants will be diagnosed in the forthcoming camps.
All women who were found to be patients provided with card for treatment without cost throughout their life time.
Doctors from Cancer institute (Adyar) addressed the gathering of men and women on the causes of cancer, prevention and learning about cancer.
They strongly advised the participants not to use cigarettes, gutka and other chewing materials and insisted women not to ignore small lumps or bleeding in them.
Ln I Karuppaiah ( E n v i r o n m e n t a l i s t ) inaugurated the camp. He spoke on the importance of women health and dangerous of cancer.
Mr Janardhanan (President of BVP) welcomed the gathering.

S. Ethirajan (one of the organizers) told that such camps will be conducted in the name his mother Saroja Srinivasan in future also.
